The meeting approved the minutes of the previous session, took note of the approvals issued, as well as decided on amendment requests submitted by projects operating in the free zone system, in addition to discussing a number of topics related to renewing and issuing licenses to practice the activity, amending the commercial identity of a number of companies, and adding a new activity.

The meeting also dealt with the controls for the free zone companies’ commitment to environmental requirements and standards, in accordance with the rules and laws regulating that, and the mechanisms for tightening control over that system. The current position of the zone and the areas of activities in it were also presented, as well as the recently achieved rates of achievement.

The Governor of Damietta and Counselor Mohamed Abdel Wahab discussed a number of problems and obstacles facing some companies in the region and reviewed the topics related to solving them.

They also undertook a tour during which they visited the Marine Company for Logistics and Petroleum Services, as well as the “Pure Life” Company for the manufacture of micron filters and desalination plants. They followed the mechanisms and work systems of these two companies. They also visited the Damietta Container and Cargo Handling Company, and listened to a detailed explanation of the company and the growth rates in the fields. Exports and imports.
