Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Power / Mechatronics) to ensure the reliability and optimal performance of our production assets, with primary responsibility for rotating machinery, CNC equipment, and air compressors. The role involves troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime, enhance operational efficiency, and extend equipment life.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Rotating Equipment Maintenance
- Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on pumps, motors, gearboxes, spindles, and other rotating assets.
- Carry out precision alignment, balancing, and vibration analysis.
- Replace bearings, seals, and other wear parts to maintain machine integrity.
- Monitor performance trends to identify and resolve potential issues before failure.
CNC Machinery Maintenance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control faults in CNC milling, cutting, and turning machines.
- Calibrate axes, tool changers, and control parameters to maintain accuracy.
- Collaborate with operators to resolve production-related machine issues.
Air Compressor Maintenance
- Perform routine inspection, servicing, and overhaul of rotary screw and piston-type air compressors.
- Diagnose and repair issues in compressed air systems, including air dryers, filters, and control panels.
- Monitor system pressure, airflow, and temperature to ensure reliable performance.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned compressor downtime.
General Equipment Support
- Maintain FRP machinery, conventional lathes, plasma cutting systems, and auxiliary plant equipment.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrade of new machinery.
Preventive Maintenance & Planning
- Develop and execute detailed PM schedules for all plant equipment.
- Keep accurate maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and parts usage records.
- Coordinate with production to schedule work with minimal disruption.
Inventory & Spare Parts
- Manage critical spare parts inventory for rotating, CNC, and air compressor equipment.
- Work with suppliers to source high-quality, compatible components.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance work adheres to HSE standards and company procedures.
- Participate in safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Power Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ industrial maintenance experience with strong expertise in rotating equipment, CNC machinery, and air compressors.
- Skilled in mechanical systems, industrial electrics, and automation controls.
- Proficient in vibration analysis, alignment, and CNC diagnostics.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and teamwork abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in filter manufacturing, FRP production, or heavy industry.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and advanced CNC controls.
- Familiarity with TPM and Lean Maintenance practices.
